‘I’m skipping dinners until I achieve my dreamed weight’. Have you ever heard this before? Or, have you heard yourself talk like this before? I did. Tell you, it did not do me any favor. The fact is that our body needs to be fed appropriately to sustain its daily balanced nutrients. The more stunning fact is, we need to eat to get the body shape and weight we really want to have!
Here, I have 8 of the best foods we should inject into our diets to aid us lose our excessive body weight and fats a lot faster. While we do that, we are also loading our body with nutrients and vitamins that will keep us strong and live longer happier!
1. EGGS. International Journal of Obesity published their successful study on how to lose weight a lot faster and easier. The research was conducted on obese that ate carbs and eggs for substitute regularly. They found out that those who ate eggs instead of carbs lost weight 65% faster! That’s because eggs have 72 calorie-count each but holds 6.3 grams of quality protein and a full packed with vital nutrients.
2. GREEN TEA. The American Medical Association in 2006 has published a study they conducted to 40,000 adult Japanese. Those who drink more than 5 cups of green tea a day have 26% lesser fatality of any cause than those who drink less than a cup a day. A Japanese study also showed that a group who has put through a 7-day green tea diet had earned lower weights and thinner waist lines than the other group. The wonder here is the group of antioxidants concentrated in the leaves of green tea known as catechins. They are metabolic boosters.
3. GARLIC. Garlic produces Allicin, an antibacterial and antifungal compound as a defense against pests. This chemical can fight cancer when ingested. It also strengthens the cardiovascular system, decreases fat storage, and fights acne inflammation. To optimize the allicin content of each clove, crush the garlic as finely as possible and do not overcook.
4. GRAPE FRUIT. Grape fruit may be bitter but it can help you lose weight a lot faster! Scripps Clinic in California conducted a study on 100 obese and found out that those who eats half a grape fruit in each meal lost 3.6 to 10 pounds in just 12 weeks. Grape fruit is also loaded with lycopene, a cancer-preventing antioxidant.
5. GREEK YOGURT. Greek yogurt is a processed to remove excessive sugar like lactose and has an increased protein content. A cup also contains quarter of the daily needed calcium, which is one of the fat loss boosters. In a study, it showed that high-calcium dairy diet losses 70% more body weight than calorie-restricted ones.
6. AVOCADO. Avocado contains monounsaturated fat, a kind of fat that has double bonded atom. It can improve your cholesterol profile and decrease the triglycerides or fats floating around the blood. As a result, risks of stroke and heart diseases are eliminated.
7. BELL PEPPERS. Peppers in bright red, yellow, and oranges are loaded with carotenoids in their flesh. These are antioxidants that improve the immune function, communication between cells, protection against sun damage, and diminishes risks of several types of cancer. The bell peppers are loaded with not only carotenoids and vitamin C but capsaicins. These are temperature-raising phytochemicals that can fight against headache and arthritis pain. They also help boost ones metabolism.
8. ALMOND. Almonds contain oleic acid, a healthy monounsaturated fat that boosts memory retention. An ounce or about 23 nuts a day will give you 9 grams of this heart healthy acid, better amount than what you can find in peanuts and cashews. Quarter of its calories is also fiber and proteins.

Greek Yogurt: Snacking with Benefits
You can see it in advertisements, yogurts that are just as good as ice cream but stripped off fat. There is a better kind, though, the Greek yogurt. This type of yogurt is further stripped with lactose and loaded with protein up to three times. Every cup also contains quarter the daily needed calcium, which aids in losing fats a lot faster. This is backed by a study where two groups are subjected to 1.) high-calcium dairy diet and 2.) calorie-restricted diet. The first group loses 70 percent more body weight than those in the second group.
So if you need to achieve a lower weight faster, snacking on Greek yogurt will do a load of benefits. With its protein contents, feeling fuller longer will keep your hunger at bay. The calcium content will also help dissolve body fats faster. More importantly, it will make for an equally yummy snack or meal.

Heart-Healthy Avocado
When I was young, I used to eat lots of avocado because we grow them. Fruits start to show in February and are ready for harvesting come June. They are meaty and good substitute to carbs in those days. But now, they are known for a lot more of health benefits. One of the most significant is its capacity to reduce the risk of heart disease. The creamy green fruit contains monounsaturated fats, a healthy type of fat.
More than half of the calories of an avocado come from monounsaturated fats, a single bonded carbon atom fat. It is known to improve the cholesterol profile of a person while also decreasing the amount of triglycerides floating in a body. Doing so will definitely reduce the risks f stroke and heart diseases. This is why we must always include an avocado in our daily meals. As it cannot be available all year round, substituting it with other healthy food of the same nutrition content is best.
Among the recommended substitutes for avocado are olive, canola, tahini, and peanut oils or peanut butter. In any way possible, sneak any of these into your recipe and menus. A little of these will surely provide a good load of the necessary nutrients it has, especially to those having troubles with their weights.

Almonds for Memory Retention
I just love nuts, whatever type it is. I enjoy how they sound inside the mouth and the burst of sweet taste when they are crushed. I like it in chocolates, chopped in meals, and in snack foods. But did you know that consuming it in the right amounts can help improve memory? Well, I actually didn’t know at first too! What I know is that they are loaded with oil, can prompt acne burst, and so on. Until I read about the study of rats in California. The rats were noted for their improved memory skills after being fed with oleic acid, which contains more in almonds than any other in the nuts family.
Oleic acid is a monounsaturated fats that is known to improve memory and dissolve body fats. About 23 almond nuts or an ounce can produce 9 grams of this heart-healthy acid. A quarter of this nut’s calorie is also loaded with belly-filling fiber and protein that will keep us off our hunger. This is not just pure talk. A study at Purdue also backs this claim. A group of participants were halved and fed with nuts and rice cakes. Those who snacked on nuts felt full for more than an hour and a half longer than those who ate rice cakes.
With these new studies, I will probably snack on almonds more. If it is not available, cashew, peanuts, pecans, flax seeds, sesame seeds, or walnuts will surely make for substitutes. Besides, they are in the same food family so they probably have the same nutrients. Next time you go out or needs some snack, choose nuts over chips to improve your memory than lose a kidney.

Endurance Athletes
Endurance training and racing requires quite a commitment from athletes ... the commitment is for time and money ... they put up with pain, they eat for the event and buy supplements that cost a bundle ... their equipment is specialized to their events (shoes, high performance clothing, bikes, skis, wet suit, heart monitor, exercise equipment, etc., etc.) Some of the athletes are in the professional ranks, but most are age-groupers. Why do the age-groupers do it?

Memorial Day
The memories of our fallen brothers and sisters. Do you still have the time to remember them once in a year? In U.S. we remember those that have fought for our freedem ... we don't take freedom lightly, but sometimes we take those defenders of freedom for granted ... jeez, they're there, it's a job, do your thing, let me do my thing ... not quite that easy ... let's not forget that they also fought alongside our friends in many other nations to preserve a peacefully, free way of life for others, worldwide.
